Creations

There is an artist in all of us. Be it with a brush, a camera, a hammer or your hands.

The art that emerges from within the artist soothes the soul. It doesn't only sooth the soul of the artists, who needed an outlet for their passion, but when we look at the piece and appreciate the product, the emotions that emerges in us appeases our souls.

I was fortunate to have an abundance of talented artists within my family and also inherit my share of that artistic gene.

Let me introduce you...

Lyon Dongen

...started out as a nature photographer at a very young age. The compositions of his prints have the ability to make you feel as if you were right there beside him when he was capturing the moment. He was able to catch the glimpses of the Aruban flora and fauna. Now that he is pursuing additional aspirations in Holland he is able to capture new subjects.

Kay Yee

...discovered her love for art in high school were she was able to practice with different mediums. She has done numerous paintings and potteries. Her creativity extends to the culinary art as well, where she has created an infinite amount of succulent dishes. Now she moved on to using her artistic eye for photography while living in Grenada.

Ylan Dongen

Ylan rivals his brother's talent in photographing the Aruban fauna. He trails Lyon by a couple of years in age, but not in the ability to capture the island wildlife on camera.  His love for nature shows trough his lens, whether it is on Aruba or on another island.

Gwenny Croes-Dongen

Yes,  another member of the Dongen family. Gwenny's art is different than that from her son's. She takes empty bottles and recycles them in functional art. Each bottle in her collection is naturally one of a kind. The plans for expansion on the collections includes jewelry boxes, gift boxes, picture frames, glassware, and since she has been newly been awwarded the Aruban National Seal, her famous painted owl stones...

Bryant Yee

Bryant's love for games turned him into the graphics artist he is today. His eye for the indiscernible details makes him a sharp worldscaper.

Velma Jacquin-Yee

...has always loved the beauty of the nature surrounding her. A sun filled day or even a snowy one. Art was always part of her life, written, photography, graphics or interior design. The challenge she has always encountered has been what to do with the material at hand. At the moment her jewelry collection consists of seaglass and polymer clay creations.
